Coming Soon: DIGI4all Hackathon in Klaipėda

2026-04-09

On April 23–25, Klaipėda Science and Technology Park will host the DIGI4all Hackathon – a 48-hour innovation marathon focused on creating digital solutions for social inclusion and sustainability.

The event is part of the international INVESTech project, which aims to strengthen innovation, digital skills, and collaboration between education, business, and technology sectors across Europe.

Why does social inclusion matter in the digital world?

Digitalisation is transforming our everyday lives: from public services and education to healthcare, mobility, and energy systems. At the same time, it also creates new challenges: many people still face barriers related to access to technology, digital skills, or the availability of digital services.

This raises an increasingly important question: how can we design technologies that are accessible, useful, and inclusive for everyone?

The goal of the DIGI4all Hackathon is to encourage young innovators to explore answers to this question and develop solutions that:

  • help reduce the digital divide
  • improve accessibility of services for different groups in society
  • strengthen community engagement and resilience
  • contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive society

Youth ideas for real-world challenges

The DIGI4all Hackathon invites young people up to 29 years old – students, early-career professionals, and creators to work in teams and develop the first prototypes of their solutions within 48 hours.

During the event, participants will:

  • generate ideas and develop digital solutions
  • work in teams of 3–5 participants
  • receive guidance from mentors in technology, innovation, and business
  • present their solutions to an evaluation panel

The hackathon offers a chance not only to experiment with technology but also to create solutions with actual social impact.

Organisations are also invited to get involved

To ensure that the solutions developed during the hackathon address societal needs, organisations are also encouraged to participate.

Mentors can support teams by helping refine ideas and technological approaches.

Companies and organisations are invited to propose challenges related to social inclusion or the accessibility of digital services.

The hackathon becomes a space where young talent, technology and societal needs come together to brainstorm and create solutions.
