EXOPRODIGI partners are delighted to invite you to the project’s final event “Charting the Course for Sustainability – Baltic Sea region as a front-runner in clean shipping and shipbuilding “ which takes place online on Tuesday, the 21st of September 2021 at 9.00 – 13.50 (CEST).
The event focuses on sustainable shipping and shipbuilding in the Baltic Sea region and the ways digital technologies can be utilised for the benefit of eco-efficient maritime industry. The event and its discussions are moderated by Dr. Michele Acciaro (Associate Professor of Maritime Logistics & Director, Hapag-Lloyd Center for Shipping and Global Logistics at the Kühne Logistics University). Keynote speakers of the webinar are Jaap Gebraad (Executive Director, Waterborne Technology Platform) and Markus Helavuori (Professional Secretary, HELCOM Secretariat).
In addition to the keynote speeches, the event features a discussion “Charting the Course for Sustainable Shipping and Shipbuilding: What kind of measures are needed?” with expert panellists including:
- Andrius Sutnikas (Development Manager, Klaipeda Science and Technology Park)
- Elisa Mikkolainen (Project Director, Maritime Affairs, BSAG Baltic Sea Action Group)
- Johanna Yliskylä-Peuralahti (Project Manager, University of Turku, Centre for Maritime Studies)
- Valdemar Ehlers (Technical Director, Danish Maritime)
Findings of EXOPRODIGI’s work on digital performance monitoring, cargo stowage optimisation and streamlining shipyard processes will also be presented and discussed at the event.

The event is open and useful for anyone working with or interested in sustainable maritime transportation. Participation in the webinar is free of charge but registration is needed and can be done via the link below. More information on practical arrangements will be updated in mid-August.
