HACK FOR WORLD! hackathon is coming to Klaipėda 26-28 April! This event, organized by Iamus, Afri I Ko and NNVBO Platforma, will be looking for tech-driven solutions to advance the SDGs with a particular focus on SDG 11 – make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable – and we, therefore, call it Smart Cities Hackathon.
Smart Cities Hackathon promises to be truly international – mentors from all around the world will assist students in formulating concepts and developing ideas, business models, and products.
Why?
In 2015 the United Nations adopted 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, meant to tackle the world’s most pressing problems such as poverty, inequality, and climate change. Solutions are set out in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which countries pledged to implement by the year 2030. With this Hackathon, we invite you to actively contribute to the advancement of this agenda with your innovate ideas and solutions!
WE INVITE – Lithuania’s and international students of various study programs, developers, designers, businessmen, city members, and city guests to solve challenges of global importance, related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will not ask you to develop one more app that might not have much of value added, but rather focus on ideas with potential for significant impact.
