Information about Personal data protection policy

WIn order to properly implement the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter – the Regulation or GDPR), which comes into force in 2018. provisions of May 25, we present to VšĮ Klaipėda science and technology park customers, website visitors and newsletter recipients information about the processing of their personal data.

KSTP newsletters

We ensure that the recipients of our newsletters, i.e. those who expressed such a wish by providing us with their e-mail address, can unsubscribe from the news at any time by informing us. The personal data of newsletter recipients and members of the KSTP community (e-mail address, first and last name, phone number) are used only for informational purposes, when we aim to share information about our and our partners’ events, implemented projects, business, science, innovators and startups.We do not disclose, share or transfer personal data of those who wish to receive the newsletter or become a member of the KSTP community to other persons or organizations.

VšĮ Klaipėda Science and Technology Park (data controller) in this policy sets the conditions for processing personal data using the website managed by the Data Controller. The terms of this policy apply every time you access the content we provide, regardless of the device (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) you use.

This cookie policy describes which cookies are used on the website of VšĮ Klaipėda Science and Technology Park www.kmtp.lt (hereinafter – the website), for what purposes they are used, as well as what rights users have who want to change and choose the order of using cookies according to their needs . • The website uses essential cookies to ensure the website’s functionality and cannot be disabled. PHPSESSID (valid until the browser is closed) is used for visitor session ID registration and website visit related actions and statistics.

• Statistical cookies – Google Analytics, for collecting website statistics and visitor behavior data on the website: _ga (validity period 24 months), _gid (validity period 24 hours), _gat (validity period 1 minute). The information presented below is relevant to the customers of VšĮ Klaipėda Science and Technology Park with whom service contracts have been concluded.

2. What personal data we process

VšĮ Klaipėda Science and Technology Park can process your personal data (categories of data):

Customer name, surname; personal code; date of birth; personal identity document number; contact phone numbers; home address; email addresses; names, surnames, contact telephone numbers, residential address of contact persons (authorized representatives); email addresses; data on payments for services and arrears; bank account numbers.

3. For what purpose and on what basis we process your personal data

Your personal data is processed in order to fulfill the contracts concluded with you and to provide you with appropriate and high-quality services in accordance with the provisions of the relevant service contracts, i.e.:

− ensure the provision of physical security services;

− to ensure the provision of premises repair, troubleshooting or technical maintenance;

− submit invoices for services and carry out collection of receivables, settlement management;

− to solve the issues of compensation for damages suffered during the events.

Your personal data can also be processed before concluding a contract, at your request, in order to conclude a contract.

The data may also be processed in order to pursue the legitimate interests of the data controller or a third party, except in cases where such interests of the data subject or the fundamental rights and freedoms that make it necessary to ensure the protection of personal data prevail over them (e.g. debt management purposes, event and claims administration purposes).

We may also process your personal data in order to fulfill the legal obligation applicable to the data controller (e.g. bookkeeping, etc.).

4. To whom we transfer your personal data

Your personal data is managed by VšĮ Klaipėda Science and Technology Park, ensuring adequate protection of your personal data by technical and organizational means. Only authorized employees of our company can get acquainted with your personal data, performing the direct functions assigned to them. Your personal data can also be transferred to the Data Processors we use, who help us ensure the execution of contracts and process your personal data on our behalf. Such Data Processors include: our partners – companies performing settlement supervision and debt administration; companies or lawyers/law firms providing legal/audit services.

Your personal data may also be transferred to: insurance companies, in cases of insurance events and claims administration; to law enforcement and other state institutions, when this is mandatory according to valid contracts and legal acts; to the courts, in case of disputes arising between the parties and not resolved through negotiations; for persons handling joint files of debtors, in case of unsecured arrears.

5. How long we store your personal data

If the country has mandatory data storage terms in accordance with applicable laws (e.g. accounting data), your personal data will be stored as long as such applicable laws provide. If there are no mandatory terms for the storage of personal data in accordance with applicable laws or contracts concluded with you, your personal data related to the fulfillment of contractual obligations are stored:

– no longer than 3 years after the end of the contract, when you have fully paid for the services *;

– no longer than 10 years after the end of the contract, when you have not fully paid for the services*;

* the set deadlines apply in cases where the deadline for processing your personal data does not have to be extended due to the examination of disputes that have arisen. Personal data required for handling disputes are stored for 1 year after the dispute has been concluded by a valid court decision and the decision has been properly executed.

After the specified deadlines, your personal data will be irretrievably destroyed. Any personal data used for marketing and provision of additional services will be stored with us until the moment when you inform us that you no longer wish to receive such information.

6. What are your rights

If you believe that any personal data related to you that we process is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to allow you to familiarize yourself with your personal data, to request their correction or deletion, to request that we limit the processing of such data. You also have the right to object to data processing and the right to data portability. To submit a request, you can do so by coming to our office during business hours and filling out the Data Subject Request Form.

Our Data Protection Officer will examine your complaint and take the necessary measures to resolve the situation. If you cannot resolve the issues directly with us or if you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of the law, you always have the right to file a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate.
